Josè Mourinho had been waxing lyrical about Wolves in the buildup to this game, and rightfully so.
It must be incredibly gratifying for a manager to see one of his old players doing such fine work in the top flight.
But United’s infamously cantankerous manager was a little misguided in his post-match comments, in which he said Wolves played the match as if it were a World Cup final.
Anyone who has been watching Nuno and his team’s early season exploits will know that they approach every game in exactly the same way, regardless of the opposition.

This trip to Old Trafford was no different, with Wolves in the ascendancy from the get-go.
David de Gea foiled our attempts at an opener on multiple occasions, as the raucous away support roared the team on with little opposition from a muted home end.
Typically, United took the lead not long after as Fred plundered his first goal for the Red Devils thanks to a cute tee-up from Paul Pogba.
My initial view was that Rui Patricio could have kept the Brazilian’s effort out, but replays show it was expertly steered beyond the reach of our Portuguese keeper.
The goal did little to change the tone of the game, with United’s dominance of the ball failing to prevent our threat on the counter.
Joao Moutinho ensured we got the equaliser our efforts deserved, curling a sumptuous strike beyond de Gea after enterprising work from an impressive Helder Costa.
How we managed to get a player of Moutinho’s obvious quality for as little as £5m is beyond me, but he’s already looking like one of the buys of the season. He simply oozes class in everything he does, and complements Reuben Neves brilliantly.
The same could be said of Jonny Otto, who once again operated solidly down the left hand side. He and Matt Doherty are absolutely key to how this team operates, and were unrelenting in their efforts to get up and down the flanks.
Costa and Diogo Jota are also deserving of praise for their performances, with both looking closer to their vintage than they previously had this season. The former was a particular menace right up until his withdrawal, giving a performance reminiscent of his stand-out display at Anfield two seasons ago.
Pandemonium is the best way to describe the away end after the goal, with the travelling support drowning out Old Trafford completely. One can only imagine the scenes if Adama Traore had managed to net one of the two chances he spurned during another enterprising cameo.
The noise continued despite a winner evading us though, with the familiar refrain of ‘Nuno had a dream’ ringing true from the stadium to central Manchester.
Continue playing this way and we’ll have to begin changing the lyrics to our favourite ditty, however. Because at this rate, Wolves aren’t on their way back to the glory days.
They are back.

Wow first go again. Others who were there are better qualified than me to comment so will just say: goes to show how far Wolves have come when you are disappointed they did n’t win at Old Trafford only managing a draw!
at the end of the season utd along with city will be greatfull they managed a draw with the mighty wolves beware big boys we are back and we hunt in a pack ,in nuno we trust fwaw
What a great performance.
This time next year we will be disappointed with a draw at Old Trafford.
Yes Ben They are back.
Brilliant day out and a great point. I thought Doherty and Costa were brilliant down the right hand side, and jota was much improved than his performances in the first couple of games.
It was absolutely mental when we equalised to the point where I’ve pulled my calf, not sure how or why that happened.
Sorry about you pulling a calf yesterday mate.
Just wait until we visit Cardiff and you can pull a few sheep!
A mate of mine went to an under water disco and pulled a mussel
Thanks Chaps. Need to keep my over zealous celebrations in check, stop me from prematurely writing off my body.
On paper good result but now seeing the game little disappointed we matched and outplayed them a lot
Very proud of my club
Things will only get better
We are on the up
Got cav and dendonker to come in, nuno is such a clever manager and we are so lucky to have him
A team can only play as good as the opposition allow them to play, and we did not allow them too many chances yesterday. Our set up and lack of fear took care of their obvious threat.
Instead of blaming his players, Mourinho wants to take a look at himself.
Heaven forbid , but if Nuno was the United manager yesterday with that team, does anybody think we would have taken a point? We are not the finished team at the moment, but with Nuno’s guidance and a January addition or two we will be there!
Proud to be a Wolf and proud of the real ‘special one’ proclaimed by us the fans
not by himself!
3000 Wolves fans outsung 71000 ‘supporters’ says it all really doesn’t it?
Yes Ben we are BACK no doubt about it.
We can only get better bring em all on we can deal with it.
Onwards & Upwards
A fabulous day out after two previous dismal days at Old Trafford in years gone by .Another top performance by every player .The coaching is really top class .Just to pick one example .Bennet hardly ever tries the long passes he knows are not his strength but gives it to Neves or Coady who can play them .Each man plays to his strenght within the critical team unit .If we can keep Nuno they will make a Europa league spot if not this year then soon .To go to Europe with Wolves .Now that is a dream .
I fully agree. Unbelievably, we actually got Bennett for nothing, as Norwich supporters laughed at our supposed stupidity because they said he coudnt`t play ! ! What must he be worth now ? ?
Now that Bennett has been properly coached so that he plays to his undoubted strengths as a hard as nails rock solid central defender, he is fast becoming one of the best in the league . I would argue that he is aa lot better than many of the ” Fancy Dan ” dogs who have in recent times been selected by England. Take note Mr Southgate.
In the frustrating period under Steve Morgan’s ownership we will all remember Mad Mick’s desperate strategy of playing the reserves at Old Trafford. Wave the white flag and hope to beat Burnley in the next match. Desperate days. The transformation now is almost unbelievable.
The results against Man City-Man U are just the start. We’re not afraid of any team but they are beginning to be afraid of us…
I anticipate a couple of signings in January. We are on our way back to the glory days.
Duplicate post, just to be sure it does’nt disappear.
I was there, but I didn’t realise at the time how feckin good Moutinho’s goal was. That’s two special midfielder’s we have.
Jesus what a strike.
There’s not many goalies in the Premiership that are looking forward to facing Wolves.
https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/teams/manchester-united/11505583/man-utd-1-1-wolves
Stu,
Jesus??? he plays for cithe, but, God! now he does exist and plays in Gold & Black
No no RickRack, Nuno is God, the team are his disciples !
Lowves, I’m happy to stand corrected. And can’t wait to spend time in our chapel next Saturday. Hallelujah & peace be with you.
As a penance 50 Hail Mary’s and mines a pint.
And a piece be with you too my son.
Oh! My hat!
Oh! my sainted aunt!
Oh! My Nuno!
Can’t think of words to describe the performance of the manager, the team, the fans, and the feeling that I have in my heart after yesterday.
So I’ll make one up (with apologies to Mary Poppins).
Superwolfpackrealistictoptenfinish?-oh!shucks!
And, when you make the front page of the Telegraph Sunday Sport section I think you can officially say that you’ve made it.
We’ve made it!!!!!
A great result and well deserved. Overall a very good team performance and I am confident we can do well in this league. Great noise and support from the travelling fans, they were magnificent.
An exciting time to be a Wolves fan. 🙂
Onward’s & Upwards
Sitting with the Mancs l felt the need to say are you playing Real Madrid, because that was a European performance back to front.Btw imo Anfield is still the top ground, simply because their fans would have applauded us off, such is their appreciation of good football.
Fully deserved point and could easily have been three.
Another goal from a Neves interception in the opposing half. Doing as much without the ball as with it this season and surely destined to become one of the world’s best holding midfielders?
Class finish from Moutinho. I still cannot believe he is playing for Wolves.
Costa was outstanding. The best performance from him since the FA Cup win at Anfield. Tore through their defence at will and gave Luke Shaw the runaround all afternoon. Did superbly for the goal. I wonder if it’s match fitness or the muscular figure looming large on the sidelines that’s upped his game in recent weeks? Either way, welcome back Helder.
Jimenez again brilliant and occupied their centre halves with aplomb. Twice found himself in the box with his back to goal. One smart turn and shot that forced a good save and then a cute lay off for Moutinho to score. BBC gave him MOTM and wouldn’t disagree.
Definitely seeing improvement in Jota’s game and his confidence seems to be growing week by week. Thought he was good against Burnley but to see him weaving through tackles at Old Trafford is obviously more gratifying when evaluating his future prospects. The goal is coming.
Patricio superb save before half time to keep the game alive. Don’t think he could have done much about the goal and actually the fact he even got so close to it says more about his talent. Calmness personified.
Back three faultless again. Boly should have buried that header in the first half mind. Utd looked at their most dangerous when standing crosses up to Lukaku and Fellaini but Wolves held a good line and made sure to clean up any knock-downs.
Wingbacks got forward superbly. Jonny seems to play higher up at times and arrive on crosses that come through to the back post, whereas Doc runs from deep. But both are covering the ground and providing that all important overload down the flanks.
Good to keep the unbeaten run going and confidence high for Southampton’s visit (expecting the reserves against Leicester) for a game we will win if standards are maintained.
And the really good thing is I still think the Premier teams are still under estimating how good we are. ????
A draw that feels like a victory. After the first 15 minutes (Bennett and Boly headers, Jimenez’s turn and De Gea’s save) it was feeling a bit like Leicester all over again. Especially when a sublime touch from Pogba allowed Fred to put the Mancs in front. But we have learnt our lessons and they never looked like scoring again, for all their pressure and the number of crosses they sent in looking for Lukaku or Fellaini.
I think I now understand what Nuno is saying when he talks about ‘our ideas being stronger’ and not changing them. For long periods in the 2nd half Pogba played in a deep position and was pretty much controlling the tempo and shape of the game. A lesser manager would have changed his system and sought to reduce his influence – maybe by man-marking him. Not Nuno. He believes in his system, his players and their commitment to the structure. He was right – there was only going to be one team scoring a winner in the last 10 minutes.
Class performance from every single player. Superb management.
I really do think we need to keep a lid on all this.
Good performance yesterday, yes definitely. Took the game to the Reds, yes definitely. Made multi million pound players look average at times, yes definitely.
But, to say that Wolves value Ruben Neves at £110 million (todays newspapers.
No, Definitely no.
He’s worth far more than that Jeff Shi, far more.
Nuno had a dream,
To build a Euro team,
The Commentator was saying Jota was man of the match.
Not sure where he should have headed it to but Coady definitely shouldn’t have put it right in front of the net. It resulted a few seconds later in Manchester United ‘s goal.
Should there really have been 5 minutes added or was that in honour of Fergie?
Why does Nuno always put his hand on players’ faces when they are about to come on?
Its a “mind meld” !!!
Like Spock in Star Trek.
Who the hell decides MOTM running order? Wolves v Man U in the last three behind predictable games: under achievers being put to the sword. As opposed to two teams going toe to toe. Two very good goals and great saves. Pretty lazy decision making by the BBC.
We rightly drool about our team`s mid field class, and attacking prowess. But what about the defensive three. Boly, Bennett and Coady. Individually superb, they understand each other`s game perfectly, creating a magnificent central wall which seems virtually impenetrable. There is no better defensive unit than this playing in the Premiership. Period.
Gents, WTF is all this “dream” about?
This is no longer the dream – this is “in the now” and we’re all awake and yes it is happening to our club!
Really can’t remember during times gone by when we had difficulty in choosing MOTM due to every single man (& 12th man) would be able to stake a claim.
We’ve played both sides of Manc and they haven’t taken anything from us and on paper, they have “better” teams, but, we have (IMO) the most unified of Clubs EVER!
I’m sure there’s lots of us that feel the same, but the pride I feel at the minute for supporting WWFC in the now is bursting……
And would anyone swap Moutinho for Pogba – not ever… £5M – WWFC should be reported under FFP cause Jeff and uncle Jorge deffo dropped a zero off when that contract was signed.
Special points from yesterday 1) “Nuno’s the special one” being sung by 3,000 and 2) the noise from the 12th man….
Last point, can we please give less than 4% of our capacity back to “utd” when they come to The Mol
Long may this continue – special yes – proud yes – dream n0 not any more!
PPS ar u watchin Albion? Vile? – & I’ll predict Wolves to be the top top midland team for a tad longer….. COMB
Brilliant match! A team playing their hearts out & could have taken the 3 points. Impossible to pick MOTM as I think they all deserved it.
Make no mistake. We are back!!
Heard the match commentary and saw the MOTD highlights. And what a show our team put on.
I would put some ratings for the players but it would be 10/10 for all of ’em so a bit pointless. So here are a few post-match thoughts.
Helder Costa back to his scintillating best. He’s my favourite Wolves player on his day and this game he was right on it. He has a selection of little moves which seem to bamboozle defenders as though someone had slipped a blindfold over their eyes.
Neves and Moutinho have developed an almost telepathic understanding with each other, and that telepathy is rapidly spreading throughout the team. Some of our passing can only be ascribed to this supernatural power. It doesn’t seem fair really. The FA should ban it.
Patricio’s calm, assured confidence has definitely rubbed off on the back three. Who would have thought that our Championship defense would perform so admirably against some of the best attacks in world football.
Adama needs to learn that the main benefit of having his pace is that it gives you a moment, when the defenders are trailing in your wake, to take a look at the situation. A moment to think.
Nuno is a genius.
My whole weekend with has been taken up with this 90mins. From the preamble on Saturday morning to MOTD (twice) and ploughing through all the post match reports and fans vlogs. And I’m still buzzing. Where can we go from here??? Only Nuno knows.
Bring on Southampton. My first live game of the season. Bloody hell, I can’t wait.
Steve,
I watched the whole game live on this stream. Excellent picture with no buffering.
You may want to look at it to see if future games are being shown

HALLOWEEN COMES EARLY TO OLD TRAFFORD!!
65,000 UNITED FANS SCARED SHITLESS!!
What a welcome back for that red nosed ex manager, seeing his old stomping ground graced with pure, flowing magical football……………….and his ex team were on the pitch as well!
No need to try and pick a man of the match, the award must be shared by the whole team.
And yet another , different scorer.
Kind of makes a mockery of the “we need a striker” brigade.
What I found interesting, and vastly amusing, is the enormous sums of money being wasted on a weekly basis, paying the likes of Sanchez, Valencia, and Lukaku who were totally anonymous.
Someone posted on Facebook Wily Boly emptying his pockets after the game.

Romelu Lukaku
Brilliant!
And Maureen complaining we played as though it was a world cup final.
Well, Duh, isn’t that the whole purpose?
To win?
Fuckin’ moron.
And down in the Cardiff Cess pit, Colin got another spanking.
Life is gooooooooooood!!!!
FOwb
My interpretation was that Maureen was more complaining that his team wasn’t playing like it was an important game and contrasted how Wolves did.
Still, like I predicted, it was more about how Man United played poorly, rather than how Wolves played well. Not just from him but most of the national pundits.
Ain’t it always the way Tim. We always are lucky enough to catch them having an off day, like we slip something into their pre-match porridge or something.
The pundits will catch on one day the thing that we all know. We have one of the best teams in the league.
Actually, before the game Maureen told the reporters that Wolves were “a very, very good team”. He even mentioned Patricio being Portugal’s national team goalie and how Moutinho was capped over 100 times but they still don’t get it.
I guess when you get ex-players giving their opinions, they probably don’t want to put too much effort into gleaning the facts.
More important to get their hair coiffed.
Clive,
I know this is only semantics, but according to Sky: Manchester United vs Wolverhampton Wanderers – 3:00pm Saturday 22nd September – Old Trafford (Att: 74489) – that’s 71,489 manc/non-mancs and 3,000 of the barmy army
in math terms = approx 4%
But in real terms Wolves sounded like 71,489 fans and MU the 3,000 – the 12th man was fehoukin wonderful, loud & proud
When they come to the Mol out of respect to the above we should give them 4% of our capacity = 1,268 and we still won’t ear em…
Even the Sandwell lot are praising us ??
For me I’ve been waiting over 30 years to see the team rise back to the Dougan Richards years and felt that it wouldn’t happen in my life time..
Well it has.
I remember the blog when Mendes got scathed as a conflict of interest agent ..
He alone can take the accolade for this and that includes replacing Lambert with Nuno..
Whatever Jeff shi said it’s still all down to Mendes..we have 7 football stars minimum..
History has just been made again ..to go to Old Trafford and drown out thier fans and score a blinder too..
The draw doesn’t matter it’s the acknowledgement by all and that wolves are back where they belong..
Well, I got my first correct score of the season. But that matters not in the scheme of things.
What really matters is the fabulous performance by the boys, with everyone playing a part. A win, late on, would have been well deserved (if only Traoré had got his shooting boots on).
A special mention also to our amazing travelling support. Listening to the commentary on Wolves TV, and watching later on MOTD, I could hear nothing from the home crowd.
Couldn’t agree more Exiled, about the constant din from our fans. Absolutely brilliant supporters. Absolutely fantastic support.
The day began with the taxi to Wolvo train station at 8am.Then the 8.49 train to Manchester Piccadilly. Arrived on time at 9.59.Short walk in to the city and first pint of lager at 10.10. Eight pints later it is off in the taxi to Old Trafford. Brilliant atmosphere in the Wolves end. Flying start. Maybe should be 2-0 up. Then Utd go 1-0 against the run of play. Our heroes continue to weave their patterns around Utd. We look the better side. The magic moment arrived. Mayhem in the away end. We continue to look the better side. Last 15 mins hanging in a bit but the final whistle arrived to mass cheers from us. Chants of Nuno is the special one and Mourinho’s right. Your fans are shite. Back in to Manchester on the bus. Four more beers and the 8.30 train back to Wolves. More beer and the Joshua fight. Arrived home and collapsed in to bed. What a day. Special mention to Twix who happened to be sitting behind me at the match. My points per game ratio has us finishing on 57 points which would have easily guaranteed 7th place last year. (Burnley 54). FWAW.
What a day that was.
5 minutes into the game and these guys come walking in front of me and Lady Twix, one of whom I thought I’d seen before and and a legend blogger.
So I shouted in his direction… “ I just fancy a Cheeseburger ?” , and of course the man himself, smiling as is his norm, turns and the banter begins.
Great to see you again cheesey… good to hear you got a few more down your neck before falling through the front door.
Onto the game …OMG, we were lauded in the match day programme for our late 50’s / early 60’s football domination along of course with Man Utd, and it is ironic that the OT stadium biggest ever gate is recorded is an FA Cup semifinal between Grimsby Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers , at 76200 or so.. we won 5 v 0 btw.
Yesterday was like two football giants going toe to toe in a game whereby we were not overawed at all, in fact gave them more to think about than roles reversed…. We were that close to a famous victory.
Shaw and Lindelof have platted legs after Costa had danced his way inside and outside of those two…. indeed when I realised the so called star names in Utds line up, the result carries much more satisfaction.
The 3000 travelling fans were immense and took the proverbial piss out of the Tourist fans of Man Utd…. even singing .. you’re only here to see the Wanderers… brilliant, brilliant memories.
Great to meet up with Stu and Jen, and Ken and Carmen … Apple crumble for dessert.
What a club this is becoming ….. thanks Jeff and Nuno.. and George and all the players.
What I forgot to put in my post is how magical it is to see not one dissenter, not one moaner, complainer or whiner with regard to Nuno.
Can we EVER say, however long we have supported our club, that everyone is in total agreement with the manager and his decisions.
All our previous managers have had their critics, even Stan Cullis in his heyday.
But Our Nuno?
No.
How fabulous it is to be united, and yet not United!
Thanks, Nuno, Jeff and the boys, it makes an old man proud, very proud.
View from Sir Alex Ferguson stand.
Having read through all the blogs from OT yesterday, little I can add in relation to the performance and the din emanating from one corner of the stadium.
Sitting with and surrounded by homers it was impossible not to show some reaction following our superb equaliser. “YES GET FUCKING IN” or something akin I yelled at which point around a dozen heads turned round. For a moment I thought “shit” but it passed without incident and the Utd fan to my right shook hands at the final whistle and admitted Utd could have no complaints if Wolves had won. (He also said he already knew I was a Wolves supporter as I was the only one to remain seated – head in hands- when Fred put them ahead totally against the run of play). My travelling companion who is a Manc tried his best to quell my exuberance fearing that if the stewards had cottoned on that I was an away fan in the home area some rather awkward questions will have been asked of the owners of the ST – which is a fair enough comment.
Overall it was a fine day out in Manchester. Having caught the 8.06 from Milton Keynes we arrived at Piccadilly about 9.45 and headed straight to the National Football Museum.
As to be expected I suppose it was packed with supporters wearing red and white from what seemed like all points of the globe plus a fair sprinkling of Wolves tops.
Onto an Italian meal on Salford Quays and a 15 stroll to Old Trafford fuelled by a couple of bottles of vino and Peroni and it was game on.
As usual I carried my smallish rucksack for programmes, specs, phone to text updates, morning paper etc. From what I was told – Following the Manchester bombings bags are not allowed into the ground – totally understandable. I had to leave my rucksack at a “bag drop” where I was given a numbered ticket to present after the game. I was then asked for £5.00.
Apparently or so I was informed between 5,000 and 10,000 bags, including some women we saw with those oversized handbags are deposited in this way before each home game netting the club up to a cool £50k. Three observations
1. Never take any sort of bag to OT – including the missus.
2. Are Man U so short of cash that they find it necessary to apply this charge and rip off their customers? Shades of Ryanair.
3. Is this action applied up the road at The Etihad?
Anyway a real heart warming performance-proud as punch or what?
The 19.35 Piccadilly to London Euston via Stoke was packed including a large contingent of Wolves supporters some of whom we chatted non stop until we disembarked at MK.
All were absolutely delighted with the performance and the manner in which Nuno and the team have approached the top flight.
Long may it continue Bloggers.
Roll on Saturday!
At last a 3pm kick off at home. Now there is a novelty!
BOG
Bostin
Keep the good times rolling.
Great game , could have been three points but hapuwith the draw having gone behind
Remember when it used to be the ‘top four’ until a couple of the darlings got pushed below that and so as not to offend someone decided to make a top six !
So when wolves and maybe one other push past they will have to make it a top seven or eight, or would it just be an off season for the ‘real big clubs’
Gonna enjoy the ride from here that’s for sure. And Neves for 110 mill !! He will be worth 200 mill by the time he is 24 I think he will stay where he is and become a legend
Utw
Ps , having drinks last night at my sons football presentation do with fellow brits when a gold car pulls up with the wolves head on either side, brilliant, iv taken a photo and will try to send it here but not promising anything as I’m not the most techie
It’s been a long wait (since 1964, I think) but at last I get to hear a BBC Match of the Day pundit call Wolves “brilliant” .
Happy days!!!!
Again, when given the opportunity to compliment a player or say what a nice goal Moutinho scored, Nuno couldn’t bring himself to do it.
What is wrong with him? Other coaches would say that it was a beautiful goal or say something light and complimentary but not Nuno. He has to be a sourpuss each and every interview.
Tim, I really don’t think Nuno is a sourpuss, surely everyone can see that he will not single out one player for either praise or criticism, he keeps saying “we are one pack”, there’s not a single prime-dona allowed in irrespective of their contributions. You see this when after each game there are several nominations for MOTM
To me Nuno’s ability to show passion when needed – Bristol City with Bennett’s goal – Cardiff at the final whistle – is one is his most endearing facets.
However, if there’s one thing we could learn from Man U, it would be how we can continue to satisfy and keep Nuno at our club, the same as they did with Fergie.
In a post above it says about the whole of the faithful being behind and fully backing Nuno, but in this now WWFC is more than just Nuno, I really believe that we are close to Utopia – Owners, Senior Management, Coaching, Players and Fan base and Uncle Jorge
And if that is “sourpuss” give me “sourpuss” every day.
FWAW
Don’t get me wrong, he is an excellent coach but watching his press conferences compared to, say, Colin Wanker and it really makes me wonder why he can’t just loosen up for 5 or 10 minutes.
I watched Warnock’s interviews and he is downright charming. Smiling, joking, complimenting players on both sides. Nuno looks like he is having his teeth pulled. I guess he is defensive because of his history with the press, which I am not that familiar with but assume went rocky because he didn’t win the league in Portugal.
On the positive side, I don’t see him taking the Man U job because I don’t think he would get away with that there.
And where are Cardiff at the moment?
With how many wins?
My post above obviously is wrong, there is always one wanker in the barrel to spoil the rest.
If you were a true Wolves fan, you would have lived through all the shit of the past 40 years, and would embrace Nuno as the rest of us have done.
But no, you have to throw your toys out of your pram and whine like a United fan.
So, off with the gloves, please fuck off to the dark side of sandwell where you belong.
Don’t wrap it up Clive! 🙂
Tim, where in my post have I said anything of him leaving to Man U? I said I would like Wolves to emulate that of retaining Nuno’s services for many years i.e. As Man U did with Fergie….
but as far as Colin being “charming” I would suggest you re-watch the end of the Cardiff game and Colin’s ability to tell Nuno several times to FO then refuse to shake his hand – Charming you must be joking – his surname from Colin is most apt for that pathetic excuse for a non-footballing manager
I didn’t say that you said he might go to Man United but others have said he was a target and a reporter said he would definitely leave for there if he was offered the job.
All I am saying is that it is a coach’s job to deal with the press.
He can be light and cooperative, like Jurgen Klopp and me or he can be difficult and always insulting and sulking, like Jose Mourinho and Clive from Houston.
Yawn.
I just can’t understand you Timbo. You are the only one on here that is so negative. I now understand though why some bloggers have left, just to stop reading your drivel.
I agree with you ‘Rick of the Rack’.
The ‘we are the pack’ mentality is the base of Nuno’s philosophy.
Nuno is calm, in the present moment, feet grounded, a bit Zen, humble.
I think it was why we didn’t keep Afobe, as he wanted to be a ‘star’, not part of a ‘team’, which Bonatini does.
Nuno will take us to Europe.
Mmmm. Talking of sourpuss. The words pot, kettle and black spring to mind. 🙂
It may be difficult, traumatic and painful to recall pre-Fosun days, but a news report caught my eye today. I think we signed Grant Holt on loan in 2015. Groans all round at the time. The news report is that Grant Holt has become a wrestler. If he wanted to be a wrestler, surely he could have combined both sports by signing for Cardiff City?
Dances, I really hope we get a strong referee for both games home/away – they won’t want us to beat them like last year and don’t see them getting many points – cn see a few cards being dished out and Colin not to shake Nuno’s hand again.
Fear not Rick. I think Cardiff’s card is being well and truly marked by commentators and the media in general. On the other hand the aforesaid experts are scrambling to say nice things about us! Best team ever to come up from the Championship, etc. A match for the Mancunians? Love it…
Garth Crooks on Nuno:
“There is something of the Jose Mourinho about him – but with a touch of class”
Beautiful 🙂
Couldn’t believe that the game wasn’t featured on NBC’s excellent Saturday programme. Then I remembered that I could pay $50 and sign up for their ‘gold’ streaming service and …hey presto …there we were on my tv screen at 7 am running rings around Manure for most of the 90 minutes. Pogba was for me MOTM even though he coughed up the ball we scored from. de Gea kept them in it and Fred was almost the scorer of two…but the others…really? Sanchez like a lost child…Lukaku and Fellaini wouldn’t make the Cardiff squad…the rest were like headless chickens,,..especially when Costa/Jota/Traore ran at them.
We will finish above them this season
Meantime kudo’s again to NBC….if you can get access to their feature on Wolves…here’s the link…you, like me, can have tears in your eyes
As someone just wrote …we are BACK
