This season has been dreamy.
And every time it looks like we might get that sobering slap around the chops, someone produces a moment to elevate us to new realms of ecstasy.
Even if the opposition can nullify the more obvious danger posed by Jota and Cavaleiro, you’ve still got a dead ball specialist, two holding midfielders who can shoot from distance and a giant who can win headers in both boxes to overcome.
Factor in an unparalleled team spirit and a relentless desire to win and you start to understand the scope of the challenge.
In short, you’ve got to play very well to beat Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Brentford
Dean Smith’s side present a unique challenge. It probably sounds condescending to call them diet-Wolves but there are definite similarities.
Like their opponents they’ve cast the net further than the British Isles to compile the majority of their playing staff and have also developed a clear way of playing.
Despite being bottom when they played out a goalless draw with Wolves earlier in the season, it was obvious to everyone that was a false position.
With only 2 defeats in their last 18 matches, they’re now up to 10th and victory tomorrow will put them just 3 points below the top six.
I fancy them to get close to the play-offs come May and am looking forward to seeing how they approach this game.
Wolves
Danny Batth’s suspension was upheld, but that makes little difference to Nuno. I would have expected Bennett to play either way.
Cavaleiro should be restored to the side after he turned the game against Bristol City. It’s then just a straight choice between Costa and Bonatini for the other slot.
Save for one promising break, Costa again looked off the pace and uninterested at Ashton Gate. Bonatini has also looked leggy of late.
That one will likely come down to what qualities Nuno feels are required to overcome this Brentford side.
Betting
No surprise to see that Wolves are red hot favourites to win this one at 8/11 with PaddyPower. Brentford are 7/2. For tips on how to get the best returns check Bet and Skill who offer daily tips on all the games taking place and where you can get the most generous odds.
Predictions
There’s no reason to believe Wolves won’t win this game.
I think Brentford are a dangerous side, but then again, so were Bristol City and so were Ipswich and so were many other opponents this impressive team have already brushed aside.
Assuming no hangover from Bristol City or moments of madness, we’ll probably win.
3-1.
Happy New Year & UTW!
This will be a tight game.
I think we’ll just edge it tho.
Hopefully see Nuno celebrate again.
This season just keeps getting better and better we just keep on moving further ahead and the teams round us keep on dropping points. I suppose we will lose one soon but don’t see it being this one. They are coming here on a good run of form and playing decent football so I don’t see them parking the bus or kicking us off the park. This should suit our game some going for a comfortable 3-1
I believe Brentford are second or third in the current form table so respect to that. Just can’t see anyone getting near us at the moment. Iberian stylists 4 Brentford nylons 1
Foolishly changed my prediction last Saturday from a 2-1 win to a 1-1 draw as the longer the unbeaten sequence goes on I find myself willing to settle for a draw just to keep it going. As long as we do not suffer the tiredness Brizzle showed against Villa this could be a convincing win.
Looks like we ended bristols season on Sat night they have lost the plot letting the vile stick 5 up them.
Brentford nylonsare a good side but not that good.
Yet another battle but we are a true battle hardened side now.
Hard fought win no qualms.
Unstoppable Wolves marches on.
I just can’t get used to a season of over expectations, I’m a Wolves fan and so naturally a pessimist. But I too am going for another win tomorrow though of course I know it will all come crashing down sooner or later.
tough side to beat ….wouldn’t play Costa … Bonatini to start…COYW FWAW UTW
Happy New Year to all and sundae.
What age do you have to be over there to start drawing a pension, coz I’m sure wernick has passed it.
Or is it he’s past it?
One of the three.
How wonderful to see a bloated vindictive arrogant twat like him get his come comeuppance, four times in little over a week.
It don’t matter who we play from now to the end of the season, everyone will be treating their meeting with us as their cup final, and Nuno will know this, and plan accordingly.
Our starting eleven should get a little break at the weekend, and be raring to go, bad patch over, for our next league match.
Brilliant other results today, I have now had the shit eating grin tattooed permanently on me fizzog, saving muscle fatigue!
5-1 to me babbies should put me firmly on top of the preddo league, coz I read Brompto’s book, “cheating for dummies like me”
Very firm FOwb to y’all
You are the first person I’ve known use the term ‘fizzog’ since my dear old Nan. Whenever I use it I just get blank stares as if to say “what the …..?” I always thought it was a London expression but given that you are a Black Country Yank I’m obviously wrong.
I used to have a game called Fizzogs. You had to make faces up from photos of heads with space in the middle to put in various combinations of eyes, noses and mouths. The object was to match your picture to a given character – shy, happy, arrogant, miserable etc.
Like you, I’ve hadn’t heard the word since then.
The term was used in the military a lot
You still haven’t got the hang of this cheating lark Clive
I notice you have 3 in the system.
Clive with 33 points from 20 predictions
Clive from Houston (the fenceman) 2 from 1
And Clive from Houston 2 from 2.
If you had not tried to cheat by entering 3 times you would be in the top twenty with 37 from 23.
I will run through the winning formulae with you again in May my friend.
Well guess who got the bristle score right thanks Mr Bennett! What odds a repeat performance. Another 3 points coming our way.
Was it really just over 4 months ago when I sat in the August sunshine with London Wolves Loyal enjoying a few pints and a curry before walking to Griffin Park to watch the ‘new’ Wolves draw 0-0?
Little did I think then that by the time the return fixture came around we’d be in with a chance of going 12 points clear at the top and 14 clear of 3rd place. I hoped and dared to dream but really? THIS far ahead of anyone else?
Pleasingly we are not just that far ahead in terms of points but also in terms of the style of football we play. Like many others on here I watch Premier League games on TV and rarely see anyone who I think would trouble us – and that’s not troubling us as we are now. Imagine how much stronger and better we will be once we strengthen in this window and then strengthen even more in the Summer!
I expect a hard fought game – Brentford, just like they were back in August, are better than their league position suggests – but expect us to win and keep another clean sheet. The bulk of our heroes can then take a well earned 11 day ‘rest’ before we take on Barnsley on the 13th as I assume Nuno will make wholesale changes for the Swansea cup tie.
OODCL
A Happy New Year to all bloggers from sunny Melbourne. This game will see us open a 12 point gap – so a an excellent incentive (as if our boys need an incentive!). Yep I would give Bonatini a bit of a rest, and hope that Costa comes back to normal. All we need is a back up striker till the end of season (Gayle, Grabban or Oliveira will do). Then get big Vince at end of season). A 2-0 win will do nicely thank you.
What an awesome past few days and results! Loving it. Let the good times roll on.
Nuno’s abrupt comment to end the Sky interview after the Bristol City fixture was simply “Brentford” and off he went consigning any further media talk of promotion to the proverbial discussion dustbin.
Doncha just admire this guy! Absolutely no complacency whatsoever as he drives the team on and on and on.
As my fellow Bedfordian has already stated Brentford are a better team than their league position implies and are on a good run of form themselves. Yet bloggers I simply cannot see us losing at the moment.
Win tomorrow and we will be 12 points ahead of Derby. 12 points!!! Bloody stroll on.
So I am going for a 2-0 victory – nice and easy does it!!
Enjoy the game bloggers – we should be in Wolvo about 6 o’clock – M1 and M6 permitting (first day back for a lot of folk so I expect the inevitable traffic issues but we are leaving at 3 o’clock).
BOG
Talking of Steamrollers,
There’s only one thing that will prevent us taking a 12 point lead at the top of the Chump, and that’s fatigue from the game at Brizzle. Now I believe in all things fair, so obviously I was creaming my jeans when justice was served on the Brizzle team in the shape of their shape shifting goalie, bye, bye, bye bye. FO.
But for the FA to ask them to play today, albeit 5-30pm, it was a bit harsh. In the end, funny as funk but harsh, I genuinely like a level playing field, (Championshit referee’s)?
So if our boys had the luxury of a further 26 and a half hours rest, then in theory we should hump the left leg of Dean Smith out of sight.
Talking of Dean Smith, when I did the Men United walk for Wolves, I walked with Dean Smith for a good few hours. What a really nice feckin egg all round, (or Oval) he likes Wolves and was a feckin good bloke. But, tomorrow, I want these Wolves of ours to rip him a new one.
Gooin for a Wolves 4-0 Brentford, purely based on the fact I don’t like the bathplugs, and their shitty ground, also I want Bonatini to score all 4 to put him above Leon Clarke.
COMBambinos.
With only 20 games left for the rest of the Chump that means a maximum of 95 points by winning EVERY remaining game.
Wolves are on target for 106
So 96 points delivers what we all want!
Brentford as said are a decent team, with the ginger Mourinho in charge. So they will play football & again as said there’s no one that can live with us at present. That’s not arrogance purely just a fact.
Here’s to another 3 points & a 12 point gap by 10.00pm tomoz.
COYW or COYFW, FWAW or WFAW & FOwb, Brizzle, derby, Colin, vile
2 clear goals is what I would dearly love and which would cement the up and coming status of ‘Wolves running away with the title’…
To form that should be but I must admit the old Wolves
hammer blow still lurks in my support DNA now actually receding a bit ..this is due to the damage of the past etc..
I don’t like this fixture but hey ho let’s do another team
and sit at the top with our fingers up..
Who could blame anyone for not pinching ourselves..
So.. I’m in a strange place thanking Leon Clarke- that previously recognised fantastic skilful ex Wolves goal machine for scoring against Derby (my true hate club) but thinking Bonatini needs a hat trick to catch up with him..
3-1 their goal in off the ref…
sorry wolfies get ready for the bees sting 0 2
Had a bee sting on my backside once, irritating? Yes, but I still managed to sit on it!
Well rickrack i’d Like to buy a calculator for the new has Cardiff in third have 47 points + 60 = 107 points
But on a lighter note i fancy us to win the league by 15 to 20 points and pick up my bet at least by the end of march, i fancy us to beat Brentford but nothing is a given in football especially as the it’s the same ref as the Cardiff game, some stated that he give out 6 yellows for that game when it should have at least 4 reds.
Utw
So Pete,
I hang my head in shame!
WTF I can only blame the Banks’s & fat fekin sausage fingers.
What the fek do I know!!
I promise to re-check any future calculations via my abacus for Wolves results & via one hand for the Shites points.
Who used to front the adverts for Brentford Nylons…..and where was the advert filmed?
There was a few adverts in various locations , mainly fronted by Alan Freeman
Whoever we face, the good and the bad, whatever hardships we come up against, the team just brushes them aside and stride on to the next game. Bristol was a massive statement from our team and especially from our manager. Magnificent all round.
Brentford will come and go and leave the Mol with their tails between their legs and there heads spinning and wondering what day it is.
Onwards we march
….and their heads spinning!! Doh!!
Sorry Thomas can’t agree with a Costa start we will need a decent striker to see this one out. In Bonatini i still trust.
Just an unbelievable season so far.
Brentford at least will probably come and try to play some football.
If we’re switched on it should be a straightforward win.
I think there is something wrong with me! Yesterday I spent a couple of quiet hours at the Singapore Changi pow museum, a few emotional people there and I’m not surprised after reading some of the conditions and atrocities, at the end you could look at a few newspapers from Singapore back in the day and all I cohos do was carefully scroll to the sports page to check it out ! I then had a five minute chat to the receptionist about wolves ( well I suppose it was a change for her!)
Any way we may be a bit fatigued but won’t Brentford be also ! I’d bring cav and bonotini in and see how things go for an hour or so , us to win by the odd goal
Oh and if anyone was interested, on the third of March 1938 wolves had just beaten Liverpool one bill away to go top of the league, which they called the championship coincidentally
38 points from 28 games
wow I need to revisit the musuem now just to see that article myself! welcome to Singapore hope you enjoyed yourself here Marney!
Us to win again
A clean sheet would be sweet, hey London Wolf that rhymes. Come on you mighty Wolves.
I agree, a clean sheet would be great. And a further extension to our gap up top.
Go Wolves!
if both sides have the same style and gameplan, the side with the better players and team spirit will win.
Thats us.
I made more than one deal with a variety of football gods after it was reduced to 10 v 10 and assumed that my 1-1 prediction was therefore a dead certainty last Saturday… oh so happy to be thwarted by the Douglas/ Bennett combo ..and let down by the gods
Interesting how Bristle got so crushed today… says to me that all teams in the division have a lurking fragility.. well
All but One.
On that basis Brentford are due a hammering no matter how neat and stylish they have looked of late
So I’m thinking this could be a ‘ Cliver’… it’s overdue
My guess is Marin, that Brizzles weakness against Villa was more down to lack of recovery time than having a lesser team. I feel a bit sorry for ’em really.
Just a bit , a teeny weeny bit, that lasted for 5 seconds. Feck em. They blew it.
As much as I like to sit in the sunshine and watch those bees buzzing in and out of those petals gathering the pollen to make honey and help germinate other plants , a beautiful part of nature and a species that must be protected at all costs , except tonight when they come to the wolves and we ll stomp all over the fuckers

Forgot to put my scores in the boxes
Well woke up half the camp the other night when the winner went in so may try and keep a low profile for this one. Brentford always seems to be a dodgy one for us but I think it will be end to end and high scoring.
Nice to see the Smug grins of both Warthog and Son of John firmly wiped off their faces. Nuno doesn’t have to come out with any statements to the press just keep on doing what he and the team are doing don’t drop to their level.

(Comment – I’m no mathematician or physicist Neil me old chum like you’re no decent football manger just a destroyer of the beautiful game but at the sound of being foolish I am guessing the opposition scored at least one more goal than you. If you can’t work the basics out then no wonder you can’t get a team to play football instead of your thuggery or hoofball tactics)
Hope he cut all them out and put them in his scrapbook 🙂 Wim a big club we am
All the best for 2018 hoping to get across for the Forest game and sample those footballing delights in the flesh……well done to all the great support from the terraces making it a real 12th man
After the thrilling victory on Saturday, our teams focus must now be renewed on the stern test they face against Brentford. Very much on a roll themselves, Brentford come to the Mol desperate to haul themselves towards the play-offs after a grim start to their season. Like all our visitors, they’ll look at this as a Cup Final and can play in a nothing-to-lose, unpressurised way, knowing that most will expect them to get absolutely zilch from the match.
In reality, as many are expecting, so it will be, and they’ll be sent packing with their tails between their legs. Twelve points clear and the transfer window now open. How much better can it be??
Cannot see the wheels coming off tonight. 9 points ahead of 2nd; game in hand, no pressure then. Nuno will ensure clinical play with not a shred of complacency. We play our ‘off’ games and still come away with the point (s) – and the teams close by are doing their bit and dropping points. What a great time to be a Wolves supporter.
I get twitchy when everyone’s so confident.
I know what you mean but we are a New Wolves now.
After the heroics of Saturday it’s a big ask to repeat that level of performance and effort after just two days rest and recovery.
Ok it’s the same recovery for Brentford but our efforts were those of 10 men against 11 for a big part.
As folks clearly know Brentford are very much dark horses tonight having accumulated 33 points ver 17 games …. so to underestimate them would be foolish.
As much as I’ll kick myself later I’m going for a draw.
Would like a clean sheet let 3 in 2 now which isn’t like us, I know everybody else is playing the same amount of games but with our style of play high intensity pressing we must be fucked, was going to go for a narrow win but a score draw tonight because of fatigue
Prove me wrong boys, up the wolves
When any team gets the first goal they are in charge but with us its to an even greater extent. When sides have to come at us it leaves them open to our swift counter attacking and the flood gates are always liable to open. Maybe not tonight but I still fancy a comfortable win.
I no longer think it is a dream we are having this season.
No matter how well Brentford have been playing they just do not have players of our quality or a manager with the tactical nous like ours.
COYW
I can’t “bee-lieve” that if we win we will be 12 points clear of second place.
It might be worth persevering with Costa as I don’t think that he can play that badly again (or can he).
I think another clean sheet will happen.
It was obvious that Brentford were in a false position when we played them last. They are now closer where they deserve to be.
We had a great result against Bristol, so much so that the poor dears’ confidence collapsed against Villa. That result hopefully will get us really firing again on all cylinders as we were a few weeks ago.
I’m backing us for a clean sheet against Brentford. We won’t leave it to chance at 1-0, I think we will go for the second goal to put the game to bed. 2-0.
I’d like to see Bonatini have a good game after taking the hit against Bristol City for Danny’s red card. Hopefully he’ll be back amongst the goals.
Agreed Bagsy, but don’t underestimate the Bees, who are a good well organised side.
Hopefully the lads will have recovered enough to win this one.
Leo to score
Just have to smile and it is Christmas but the press reports of Kortney Hause being given away for £2.5 mill their having a laugh.
Agree with Bedford Wolf that watching the “Premier” league games on TV there is nothing to be afraid of when we get there.
Will Costa get his uninterested attitude out of his system ? hope so.
Redrow shitty red signs DOWN or painted over – can I do the job ?
Money Shop – OUT
Liquidator – BACK
It is a “Wolf Moon” so we will be the one’s howling tonight
Bristol game was just Roy of the Rovers stuff to win in extra time was the icing on the cake of a determined resolute performance that shows what a strong team we are and how much belief we have in each other and the manager.
Hope we have had sufficient time to recovery from a hard game, perhaps N’Daiye for Saiss, Cav has to play and I’d play Costa rather than Jota, as he has seemed tired these past few weeks, give him 2 weeks off and time back home to regenerate his enthusiasm, strength and power.
Hope we can win this one and keep the gap to the rest growing
A word in praise of our new attacking weapon – Roman Saiss. Brilliant goal against Millwall, several breakthrough runs from midfield against Grizzly Grizzle including unlucky one on one with goalie. Then having battled as part of a ten man team for most of the game who is upfront in the 93rd minute with the energy and commitment to harass a knackered defender into giving a foul away.
All aspects of this lads game have continually improved since Nuno arrived, credit to him.
Credit as well to the backroom staff we are the fittest that I have ever seen a wolves team.
And of course to Lord Nuno, he never acknowledges tiredness as an issue and when faced with a game at Millwall the day after Christmas says. “Tough tough game, I enjoyed it”. He knows that 80% of this game is played in the head.
No point playing Costa without Cav for some reason it don’t work.
In a fair world Brentford would be above Cardiff but it’s a funny old game. Just enough effort to squeeze out another three points then bring on the special team for the cup match.
Final thought taken from one of my heroes Mr K Dodd. I wonder if the rugby club Wasps have a ‘B’ team.
Agree that the backroom staff deserve a special mention as we do appear a lot fitter (T.Daley – Who) and that 80% is played with the mind.
I wonder how Texiera would do under Nuno.
Six two. An eight goal thriller.
See that 5 are tied at the top of the prediction league
Danny Velinski top at Christmas, but will he still be top at the end of the season like the Wolves will be ?
I’m gutted to have slipped to 7th place. Bloody referee at Bristol. I forecast 3-1 Wolves but with Danny Boy sent off I dropped prediction league points!
Her’s an interesting point from Nick Bruzon, author of the Brenford Blog, he has come on our blog for a couple of seasons when our teams played each other and is usually complimentary.
Quote,
“Wolves are able to use this game to go 12 points clear in the Championship (effectively 13 when you factor goal difference into the equation) should they win again tonight”.
So I like the sound of 13 points clear better, because if Man Citeh lose tonight and Wolves win, both teams would be 12 points ahead of our respective league, (I like the fact we can even talk in this context.)
Thanks Nick Bruzon of Brentford, youv’e made me even happier than I was at the start of the day.
🙂
What’s not to like?
Man City haven’t played as many league games.
Don’t nit pick and burst my bubble. 🙁
So they’ve not had as many opportunities to drop points. Look on the bright side.
Good side Brentford so won’t be a walk in the park but if we play as well as we’re capable then it should be three points to us.
Treating the misses to a prematch meal in Sir Jacks tonight, we will enjoy our red leather seats, with refreshments at half time and post match. Im just thinking of all the future away games this will get me brownie points for.
They are all tough games, but tonight might see a football match where the opposition don’t try to kick us off the pitch. We are just too good for the rest of this division, so a comfortable three points with a two nil win.
Quote from Brentford web site “In a total of 12 trips to the Black Country, the Bee’s have been defeated eight times, drawn once and won on four occasions”
Hope their defence is as bad as their maths, it will be a cricket score.
I have a question for you fellow bloggers.
As I get loads of tickets for away games and cup matches for some of you guys on here, things can become a tad confusing to say the least.
Someone asked me to get them two tickets for Saturdays FA game at home to Swansea, I have your tickets, but can I for the life of me remember who it was, I have a total of 19 tickets for two games and no amount of scratching my bonce will reveal the names.
Please help, don’t be offended that I forgot who you are there is a perfectly good reason, I threw the list away when I updated it to include new STH’s.
Damn……
My ed urts.
You are losing it Stu, only some of those tickets are for games, the rest are my airfare tickets for said games!!!
You remember, you said something about lottery and I love you Clive?
Clive, Clive, Clive who?
Works for me.
I asked for one for Barnsley mate. I did NOT ask for one for Swansea.
Yes Steve, we’re sorted on your’s. Thanks for update.
Felt sorry for Costa on Saturday. He’s quite slight and was playing a lone-striker role up against four big centre-halves – no wonder he had a ‘mare. If anybody looks like they need a rest its not Bonatini but Jota who really hasn’t made much of an impact for some weeks now. Fair enough, he’s been both man-marked and had the proverbial kicked out of him but maybe a rest would help him get his mojo back ?
I think Nuno will let them off the leash again tonight cos a lot of them wont be playing against Swansea and will get a well deserved rest. Brentford can huff and puff but they won’t blow our house down.
Sg wolf , always enjoy Singapore thanks mate , first time visiting the museum though, your a lucky man if you live here

Back before the Ipswich game I wrote I’d be happy with 7 points from the next 3 games. That last minute goal was glorious, wasn’t it? Brilliant stuff, those players and Nuno truly are a special breed.
2-0 tonight. Can’t make out the scorers, looks like only Ruddy has not yet been on the score sheet, ha!
We are on track to at least equal Reading’s 2005-6 record points haul of 106 points.

I can’t see these Bees stopping us now

I was surprised to find Bristol having to go again only 48 hours after playing us. Still expect them to stay in the top six. As for Brentford, they’re in good form, but I believe we are different class, and still improving. We have such ‘reserves’ of strength; who knows what team Nuno will put out against Swansea, but he does seem to like to keep the same side together in the league matches, where other managers would have been swapping about.
Bonatini only played 15 mins on Saturday, so he should be fine, and Costa ? I can’t believe he was ‘uninterested’ – he had been showing signs he was back to his old form.
So, Wolves will win convincingly, Bonatini to be on the scoresheet, Costa to redeem his reputation. And Barry Douglas with his lethal spot kicks! And any one of our other players always likely to get a goal.
We’ve just got so much going for us !
Tough game ahead but we have enough to deal with it.

I understand that quite a few pets (and perhaps a few nearest and dearest) suffered at the end of the game at Bristol City. My cat was visibly startled when I jumped up and started shouting at the telly when Ryan scored at the death.
Nuno and his boys keep answering every question thrown at them. Fair play to Brentford for the run they are currently on but I think they will fall short tonight.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few changes due to tired legs. Bonatini and, perhaps, N’Diaye might both start.
I like watching Brentford, I think that with what they have to outlay on players says much for the team and manager who has dragged them up from the bottom of this nightmare league to within a stone’s throw of the play-off’s.
Unfortunately for them, tonight they face Wolves.
I wish them well for the rest of their season.
UTW.
What a difference a year makes. On this day in 2017 we fought out a 0-0 draw with Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsbrough although I remember at the time asking Stu how we hadn’t won as we really did batter them that day. That point took us to the lofty heights of 16th on 29 points – a full 25 points off Brighton at the top. A year on and we have got double the points from the same number of games. There surely will be the odd blip along the way but what a way for Wolves fans to start 2018. Won’t be easy again tonight but I never actually think Wolves are going to lose these days.
We have an uncanny knack of playing teams when they are in form but despatching them with a minimum of fuss. I expect us to do the same to do the same to Brentford.
In a rush – picking up my wife (Liverpool supporter) from work who makes the sacrifice of coming to the occasional game with me. Though the sacrifice is rather less this season.
Tight game but expecting a win.
My prediction for Bristol was 4-1 and events rather spoiled that for me. I’m going to let it ride for Brentford as I still think we’re due for a game where it all goes right.
Have always had a sense of gratitude to Brentford – they sold Peter Broadbent to us, £10,000 I think it was, what a bargain!
Well my last 3 predictions haven’t gone to plan, predicting a draw, win and loss. We won drew and won. So, tonight I am going for another draw, meaning we will probably win. No, changed my mind, going for a narrow win.
Happy New Year to all you bloggers, Thomas and Ben and etc. and everybody else
Don’t you know it’s the Year of the Wolf?
Time that Big Willy popped up to slot one home, I reckon 1-0
Let’s swat them bees and knick the honey!
Come on!
Going to be a bit of a slog tonight and Brentford are a decent team. I just have a funny feeling that we might struggle tonight.
Honours even and 10 points clear again.
Going to miss tonight and Saturday due to the worsed bout of flu I’ve had fors year even had to take time of work and that never happens.
I’m hold up in bed with multiple dressing gowns on and duvays over me had 3 pieces of toast and half a packet of fig rolls in 2 days.
Anyway enough of my woes Brenford come to Molinuex on a decent run so they’ll be no push over but I think we’ll have to much for them.
Will be keeping a close eye on the game while mopping up my constantly runny hooter…!
They used to say ‘the irresistible force versus the immovable object’. Thing is we are both and no one can touch us. I think Nuno will probably be referred for anger management therapy but it won’t make any difference cos he is Wolves ay he. Fight fight wherever you may be we are the boys from the Black Country. Nuno is actually God and I may discover religion again very soon. FWAW.
A little tentative as usual.
I calculate, if our form continues that after the game on March 4th, we will be assured promotion.
As for tonight, shall predict a draw and hope for more!
Another win for the dream team
If anyone can stop Brentford’s run its us. Come on me babbies!
Should be a good game this. Both teams are in form both like to play good fast paced football. I fancy us against anyone at the moment though for that reason a home win. Boly and Costa with the goals
Strong rumours that we’ve signed one Rafa Mir from Valencia. Young Spanish striker who seems to have chosen Wolves over Real Madrid. Hey, who are they after all. 🙂
Impressive signing if it goes through. The alternative would be Real Madrid’s b-team for an unknown period of time. A sensible choice. When Wolves have achieved promotion, they’ll surely play for a place in the European cups. Santo knows what this man is capable of from his time in Valencia, and he could also be the main reason why Rafa chose to join Wolves ahead of Real. A very good start on the new year.
Not to mention he stands at a very modest 6 ft 2 in.
This is doing the rounds st the moment.

The report is wrong.
It says we are 9 points clear, but we are 12 now lol.
Ha ha. Cloud Cuckoo Land. I’m constantly in a state of shock.
At this rate David Icke is gonna be inventing some Conspiracy Theory about Wolves…
So sorry to learn on the Wolves Website of the passing of John Hendley.
Win this for him.
Agree with you there Dougie, it would be a fitting tribute to a top man. Never met him but have read some great things about him over the years. The thoughts of The Newark Wolves are with his family and friends at this sad time.
Get in Neves …… get in Douglas
2 feking nil 12 points clear. We am Wolves ay we.
3 nil up fuck me 50 goals scored 14 pts clear of 3rd.
Dreamland
Brilliant, absofekinglutely brilliant.
Full Time. Wow. I am filling up with this amazing statement we are making.
61 points am I dreaming.

AWESOME.
AND ………. the shit lost in the 94th minute. Brilliant.
The match was excellent, slow nervy first half, out of this World from the minute Cavalerio came on.
Highlight of the night.
South bank singing.
“Shit in the Winter”
“We’re Fucking shit in the Winter”
“Shit in the Winterrrrrr”
Got a round of applause from the whole ground and Nuno waving his arms upwards and downwards for them to sing it louder.
What a feckin star that man is. 1million times more passion than Lamebert and Jackoff.
Shit, indeed! Jota scoring while laying on his back, the lazy sod – costing me 3 points in the prediction league! I’m fuming!!!
This team, though! I’m still pinching myself in disbelief, expecting Clipboard or Sanders to materialize in the dugout once I’m awaken….
Stu,
I reckon that was the chant of the season thus far.
I’m still loffin now!
I also reckon no other manager in the history of the game (let alone WWFC) has joined in by conducting The 12th Man.
Add this to the Brizzle celebration & I reckon NES is already best manager I’ve ever seen at our club by a country mile.
What a year 2018 is going to bee!
FWAW
Good goals tonight too.

Douglas Neves Boly Jota Cav potential player of the year..
I reckon it’s between Douglas and Neves…Boly…..
Unbelievable..dreamland
Hey Showcase, not trying to stir up any controversy but last season there were two (2) players really in contention – Helda & Dangerous (do lof!)
2017/18 will see potentially 20 in contention including NES (my vote! If we could include him), Geoff (when was the CEO last in contention? He’d get votes if he could be included) back room & fitness staff (again would get votes) & The 12th Man (my 2nd vote! If I could)
FWAW
Full credit to Brentford who came to play football and did not attempt to kick us off the park. I pay tribute to them for that. That said Ruddy had little to do and our explosive finishing killed them off.
We’ve done it on a October
November
December
January night but can we do it on a cold February night ??
Who is that bloke, Stu?
Another foreign bench warmer?
Brilliant result, I stayed awake until half time and was a tad worried that we would regret those missed opportunities, walk up a couple of hours later for the result, unbelievable, the most supprising for me is how do we keep the fitness and energy levels up with almost no squad rotation, the exciting thing is that the age of most of this team will be mean we continue to get better, teams like villa , derby etc seem to be teams for this season only , Nuno is playing the long game
Utw
Straight off the BBC Sport website this morning.
Brentford manager Dean Smith told BBC Sport:
“They pulled Costa off and then could put Cavaleiro on. That’s what you can do when you have £40m to spend. They should make a difference.
Sour grapes or what? Would he say that to any of the top 6 manager in the Premiership? A great big no is the answer.
May the force that is WWFC led by NES remain with us now and forever Amen.
